Baby Toes in the Sand!

This past weekend we drove down to Panama City, FL to see a good friend from College before he deploys. It was great to spend a little time with him, as we hadn't seen him in over 2 years. We were also super excited to take Miss Emma to the beach for the first time! We didn't actually suit up and spend the day at the beach, as it was too sunny for her fair skin, but we wanted to stick those baby toes in the sand and let her feel the brisk gulf waters.

She was NOT a fan!

She gave one of the biggest baby whines I've heard!

"Daddy, I don't like this! Hold me!"

She kept staring at the water and giving it the "evil eye"

After the beach we went to this great outdoor mall across the street and had delicious frozen yogurt!

The next day we drove the 3.5 hours back home. Luckily our little miss is a pretty good car sleeper!

Little bit has two itty bitty teeth poking through on the bottom, so she is really loving her "sophie" these days!

Tallahassee is about half way, so we decided to stop there for lunch. We found this fabulous place called the Red Elephant. Not only did they have delicious, fresh, and healthy food, but they were super kid- friendly. Emma's highchair came out sanitized and in plastic wrap (Um, heck yes!) They also gave her the table topper and a cup of cheerios :) It was too cute! She isn't quite ready to eat the cheerios, but she had a fun time playing with them and this momma is proud to report that her pincer grasp is fully functioning! Such a big girl!!

I just love weekend getaways!
